Our People
Our Patron
Marigold Merlyn Baillieu Southey
“I feel honoured to have been invited to be Patron of emotion21. The achievement of Cate Sayers and her team in such a short time is quite amazing. The joy of music and dance experience enjoyed by children and adults with Down syndrome is an emotional experience to watch and I am so happy to be able to share this with them”— Lady Southey.
Marigold Merlyn Baillieu Southey is the fourth child of the late Sidney and Dame Merlyn Myer. She has spent her life actively engaging in the community and dedicating her life to benefiting others. She has achieved this through ventures such as Presidency of both Philanthropy Australia and St Catherine’s School Foundation, Vice President of the National Stroke Foundation, driving a Red Cross ambulance for Polio patients at the Austin Hospital, and was instrumental in the establishment of farming scholarships for women through the Nuffield Farming Scholars’ Association.
